ARTICLE I
Adoption
of Village Powers

4-7-1959]
§ 142-1. Authority to exercise powers of village
board.
The Town Board shall be
empowered to exercise all powers relating to villages and conferred on village
boards by Ch. 61, Wis. Stats., except such powers the exercise of which would
conflict with the statutes relating to towns and town boards.
ARTICLE II
Election
of Members

§ 142-2. Time of election; terms of office.
The Chairperson and odd-numbered seats will be elected in odd-numbered years, and the even-numbered seats will be elected in even-numbered years. For the first election in the spring of 1991, the Chairman and Supervisors 1 and 3 will be elected for two-year terms. Supervisors 2 and 4 will be elected for a one-year term. From then on, all seats will be for the standard two-year-term, following the rule of odd-numbered seats in odd-numbered years and even-numbered seats in even-numbered years.
